Law of attraction.

I've read the book Think and grow rich, Pray and grow rich,Mind cosmology and etc. They all teach the same thing. The law of attraction is not a new thing. It's old idea with a new name. If you read the bible you would find the idea there too.

Mark 9:23 All things are possible to him that believeth.

The key word here is BELIEVE. No new idea. The thing is, how many of us when we look at ourselves in the mirror believe that we can be or get what we want or dream of? Example if you are way way overweight and you want to get a figure that you want? Human beings are self doubting creatures. We unconsciously sabotage ourselves. That's why the idea of daily affirmations and visualization come about.

Telling yourself everyday about the person you want to be and the things that you want to have. It's like self re-programming. All the bad scripts deleted in the mind and replaced with good once. You cannot get rid of negative thinking, all you can do is replace them with positive ones.

Even with this idea of positive affirmations being around for ages yet people still succumb to negativities. Now came "The secret" or "The law of Attraction" to save again.

Then I came across so many videos of self affirmation. Great idea I think if you really watch the video everyday. A video, combination of affirmations and visual images. A real help for those having problems with visualization. :D The video below is what I think a quite good one as a guideline if you are interested to make your own.

Above all, remember, ideas through daily self talk or by watching videos, you MUST have conviction with the words that you say or you see on the videos to really have an effect on you.

Twilight sky

Took a peek outside the kitchen window and saw the beautiful shades of colours of the sky. Just wonder how many times the sky would have looked like this when I didn't look. Sometimes simple sights like this can make one feel that it sure is worthy to live life.

Patching up the broken heart.

Many a times I heard that men are easier to get over a break up compared to women. As I remembered staying in a hostel in my university days, there were times that I would find friends, or acquaintances crying their eyes out after a break up. Not easy I know to get over a heart break. But there are tips that might work for those who are in need to patch up their broken heart a little bit faster. Tips which I came across while browsing a blog regarding dating in San Diego CA.

Here are the tips:

1.Write your heart out.

Just write out what you think of the break up. Write when ever you feel the need to, because, when you write down how you feel and later read it back again, it may lift off the burden off your heart a bit. You can even write a pretend letter to your ex. Write down what you think. Would be nice to blow off some steam that way.

2. Make the "me" list.

Focus on yourself. Do the things that you like to do. Pick up the hobby long forgotten because of having to concentrate on a relationship. Write down a list of things you would like to accomplish in the nearest future and stick it somewhere, where you can see easily every day.

3. Get a new look.

Go for a new hairdo, try new fashion of clothes. Though, changing how you look would probably not change you. But it would change how you feel about yourself. Perhaps even would change yourself to look like a dream. You might bump into your ex, and make him regret for dumping you. ;P

Well, fairly straight forward tips. Might work on some might not work on others. But still worthy to give them a try.

God works in mysterious ways.

nature

In the blogging world, many times I've come across postings of people, about how blessed they are when they write about the good things they received in life. Because the result of happiness they find it instantly. But how many of us gives thanks for the bad things that happened and accept it as there must be a good reason for things that happened? The reward may not be in material, perhaps self improvement, appreciation of what you have, strengthening in family bonds and so on. Further the reason for something to happen may not show itself after years. If not in this lifetime, perhaps in the life after you shall be rewarded accordingly for your patience and trust in Him.

If you were heartbroken from rejection from the man of your dreams. 10 years after you may be thankful that he rejected you. For you wouldn't have met the "real" man of your dreams now. Further the other guy might turn out to be a bald headed, pot bellied man after 10 years later. Boy weren't you glad God made him reject you? LOL

Or perhaps the hardship in your family that you are facing right now. Need to fix that leaking roof, but just don't have enough cash for that? Just enough to make ends meet? But strange that you feel happy nevertheless. Why? because the hardship makes the family bond stronger. Working together to make things easier for each other.

Read the story below, of a man who found out the curse in his life turns out to be a blessing after all.

The only survivor of a shipwreck was washed up on a small, uninhabited island. He prayed feverishly for God to rescue him, and every day he scanned the horizon for help, but none seemed forthcoming.

Exhausted, he eventually managed to build a little hut out of driftwood to protect him from the elements and to store his few possessions. But then one day, after scavenging for food, he arrived home to find his little hut in flames, the smoke rolling up to the sky. The worst had happened; everything was lost. He was stunned with grief and anger. "God, how could you do this to me!" he cried.

Early the next day, however, he was awakened by the sound of a ship that was approaching the island. It had come to rescue him. "How did you know I was here?" asked the weary man of his rescuers. "We saw your smoke signal," they replied.

It is easy to get discouraged when things are going badly. But we shouldn't lose heart, because God is at work in our lives, even in the midst of pain and suffering. Remember, next time your little hut is burning to the ground--it just may be a smoke signal that summons The Grace of God.
