Dockers - Make your own Dockers commercial contest.

Recently Dockers launched a "Make your own Dockers commercial contest", on 29th April 2008. The dateline is one month after the launch date that is on the 29th of May 2008. That is about 2 weeks from now. So for those who are interested but have not done their videos yet, there is still ample time. Do not procrastinate too long though, you might miss the dateline. Further, the earlier you start, the more time you have to do all you can to make it into a real good commercial.

You can read more of the detail on nbc.com. And watch a few other videos that are already submitted. I am taking my time to watch all the videos and rate them. I must say, some of them are pretty good. Looks like a real television commercial. When you are motivated, it does bring out the creativity doesn't it?

However among all the videos submitted thus far, there was only one that took a little bit more effort by acting it themselves. Nevertheless,it is not my favourite. I like the one with the title "We speak your language". You can view and rate the videos below.







The winner will only be announced between the 7th and 13th of June, 2008 and the winning video of the Dockers contest will be played on "The tonight Show with Jay Leno". How cool is that? Unfortunately the contest is only open for US residents.

A day in the life of my old favourite pants.

I have a pair of pants which I bought nearly 3 years ago, and they are one of my favourites. I still wear them sometimes. *smile* In that 3 years, when they were new,their day would usually start when I wore them for going out with friends, to do shopping, and other social activities and ended when I went back home and took them off. Now after 3 years of course the pants look quite well worn but, darn comfortable and I don't use them for outings anymore. I still use them at home, when ever I need to do a little bit of scrubbing and wouldn't mind to get them dirty. Not that I don't have any other pants or I use them frequently. No. Just that this particular one is considered a favourite somehow, and the more I use them the more comfortable the fabric became.

Now that is the history of the 3 years of the pants services to me. *lol* But in their everyday life nowadays, considering that they are old, so their days are only spent in the wardrobe and taken out when I do heavy duty housecleaning. If only these pants could talk! I guess they must be begging me to let them go, throw them into the rubbish bin. End their misery.

Nevertheless as we are in the subject of pants, one quite well known brand for pants is Dockers. The brand is well known anywhere around the world which I believe due to the style and also for the durability of their items. I owned a pair of dockers myself.

At the moment Dockers are holding a competition. A make your own Dockers commercial competition. You need to submit your home made commercial at NBC.Com. The winner's video will be played live on "The tonight show with Jay Reno". Imagine that! So if you are a Jay Reno show fan, or even if you are just a Dockers fan, you should put your creativity to the test and join in the fun. More details can be found at the NBC.com website. The entry dateline for Dockers contest is June 6, 2008. So hurry up! no time to waste!

Celebrating Life Photo Competition.

Due to my nocturnal entrecard dropping, I'm having quite some e-card credits. Thus I would like to make a little competition where I can spend my credits on.


Here's what you have to do:

1. This competition is open to all entrecard members. If you are not one, not too late to become one, it's free. :)

2. Find a picture or take a picture which you think has the theme of "celebrating life". It can be your wedding day picture, your graduation, baby shower, party with friends, anything. But must be yours.

4. Submission must be made before Saturday 1'st of March, 2008.
