I was watching a video clip of a movie, "Kuch kuch hota hai". A hindi movie. Particularly this one below.

The movie was released, if I'm not mistaken, year 1997. Was 17 then. Still building up my dreams. :) When ever I listen to this song or watch part of this movie it reminds me of my mom. It's a sad movie but with a happy ending. I remember laughing at my mother and teasing her because she cried watching the movie. Further that was the year, many things happened. First met my husband online too. But mostly my feelings relate the song to her. *sigh* I miss my mom.

I dream everyday. In fact every time I sleep. Nope not exaggerating. I remembered that I've dreamed something. Bits and pieces of the dream but not really the whole dream. Some are just nothing, some would make me wake up in the middle of the night feeling scared. There would be times I can remember the dreams.

I'm not really bothered actually but would be great if I don't dream at all. When I was younger I even sleep walk sometimes. Though now no more, the dreams stays. How often do you dream?

One of my favourite anime is DeathNote. I did a review of the anime last year and only managed to finish watching the entire series about a couple of months ago. Not much time you know.The story line was amazing. It's about a school genius, Light Yagami, who by accident found a book of a "Shinigami" or Death God named Ryuk. He found out that when ever he writes down a person's name in it, the person will die. He, being a son of a dedicated police officer had the idea of ridding the world of criminals and called himself "Kira" or killer. So he started experimenting, killing criminals one by one. When criminals are mysteriously dying everywhere, the police asked the help of a detective called "L" to investigate. Soon enough, he began to suspect that Light was Kira. Both of them believe that they are on the right. I liked Light better. The world without criminals do sound nice, but perhaps his method is not totally right.

The live action movie Japanese version came out last year if I'm not mistaken. However, to those English speaking Deathnote fans out there, they have come up with an English version. Well English dubbed that is. So when is the movie coming out to selected theaters? On the 20th and 21sth of May Nationwide. That is it. Only 2 days. So you better find out where they will be playing it if you do not want to miss it. Check out the website of Fathomevents.com to get your tickets. Better get it early since tickets are limited.

I like supernatural movies. If I were to be able to choose a supernatural capability, I would like to be able to fly. *lol* Would be fun I think. Further, save money and time commuting on the tram or bus.

Wisdom tooth.

One of my wisdom tooth is coming out at a very slow pace. I have been having toothache for few days now. More likely gum ache. Last time I had one of my wisdom tooth was way back in year 2001. Had really high fever. The tooth came out fast. But one side of my face got swollen and I couldn't eat anything solid. Only baby food. Food tasted bland. Only then I knew how good it was to be able to chew, made food taste good. :D Remember waking up 3 o'clock in the morning walking up and down 5 storey hostel. Walking from one end of the corridor to the other end. Was that painful, couldn't stay at one place.

Anyway now my other one is coming out. But not like the other one. Came out really slow. Been a year already. The pain comes on and off. Only now I could see the tip of the tooth broke through the gum.With this kind of pace maybe the tooth will only fully come out years later. How it got the name wisdom tooth anyway? I will check on this.

Just finished reading about the latest report about the earthquake that hit China on CNN online news. My heart goes out the families of the victims. To read about people die is sad enough, and to read about school children dying is even sadder. It is always very sad to read about deaths of children. Pity for those who left behind. Let us offer our prayers to those who perished.

Did you watch the movie Frontier(s)?

The movie came out in theaters across the US on the 9th of May. That was a few days ago. However the DVD just came out today. So now, if you have no time to go to the theater you can now grab a DVD to watch at home if you want to. The fact that the movie is unrated and uncut even in the Cinema, this may be one of the few times you get to watch a "raw" movie in your local cinema. Therefore, if you still insist to watch the movie in the theater, visit their website to select theater listings and find a theater near you that is showing this movie.

For those who have not seen this movie yet, neither have you heard of it, feel free to checkout the trailer on their official website. In brief, the movie is an adaptation from a French version. I believe the English version was still directed by the French director. So, the movie is about a group of young crooks who escaped from the police but ended up in much deeper trouble. They took refuge in a hotel in an isolated town which they did not know, was hosted by a family of blood thirsty, cannibal neo-nazis. You will see a lot of torture and mutilation scenes of course, and since it is unrated, I don't think it is suitable for the weak hearted.

Okay, 6 things that describe myself today... hmmmm....

1. Cranky -Felt a little bit cranky in the morning. Don't know why but didn't really feel so good when I woke up. Not for too long though. Started to feel better after a dose caffeine in a cup. (coffee)
2. Happy -Felt better afterwards. Got my SDHC card I ordered through ebay. Took them more than a week but as long as it reaches me in good condition, I'm happy.
3. Relaxed - Afternoon, felt a bit more relaxed. While Bonnie was sleeping, I read a book next to her. Haven't been doing that for so long.
4. Irritable - Did some cleaning and washing, so tired a bit and irritable.
5. Excited - Finally can sit down and check whether the SDHC card works on my mp3. It works! so I was excited and still am. :)
6. Tired - Now I'm tired. Will go off to bed right after another post. :D

Dockers - Make your own Dockers commercial contest.

Recently Dockers launched a "Make your own Dockers commercial contest", on 29th April 2008. The dateline is one month after the launch date that is on the 29th of May 2008. That is about 2 weeks from now. So for those who are interested but have not done their videos yet, there is still ample time. Do not procrastinate too long though, you might miss the dateline. Further, the earlier you start, the more time you have to do all you can to make it into a real good commercial.

You can read more of the detail on nbc.com. And watch a few other videos that are already submitted. I am taking my time to watch all the videos and rate them. I must say, some of them are pretty good. Looks like a real television commercial. When you are motivated, it does bring out the creativity doesn't it?

However among all the videos submitted thus far, there was only one that took a little bit more effort by acting it themselves. Nevertheless,it is not my favourite. I like the one with the title "We speak your language". You can view and rate the videos below.

The winner will only be announced between the 7th and 13th of June, 2008 and the winning video of the Dockers contest will be played on "The tonight Show with Jay Leno". How cool is that? Unfortunately the contest is only open for US residents.

The weekend in Gyöngyös.

Well here are the pictures taken yesterday morning before we headed back to Budapest. We stayed there overnight. Was great. Really a pleasant change from the daily Budapest city life. Gyöngyös is only an hour drive from Budapest. Not so far, but you can see the difference in the air quality and colder too. Here, people like to have weekend houses. Even my mother in law has one. Somewhere in a place called Gödöllö. Don't know whether I've spelt that correctly. :) Have yet to check the weekend house yet, the place was newly renovated but still no water.

Anyway, back to the story of Gyöngyös.

The weekend house itself. It's a weekend house but fully equipped with cable tv, internet and other things. LOL They really know how to combine technology and nature. The biggest house in the area. They just bought the piece of land next to theirs. Might build a few more houses. For friends and relatives they say. Real lucky people, but they worked hard.

Vineyard on adjacent land. People here, they make wine.

The cherries are already popping out. Wait for them to ripen. This place is also our source of cherries supply. LOL. Too many so they would give to friends.

Finally a picture of a field full of yellow flowers. Reminds me of a paddy field. It's by the highway so took it from a moving car. Couldn't take a much better picture that shows how much more love the view was. These plants are actually for making biofuel.

Next mission is to get a weekend house in the country side. :D

This piece of contraption is one of the many stair lifts sold in the US. Neat invention isn't it? I think it should be sold in many countries, Malaysia and Hungary included. There are so many accidents that involved the elderly when they use the stairs. With this, perhaps it could lessen the probability for an accident to happen. If not, the kids would definitely enjoy. I would enjoy it myself too. :D

Morning Person or Night Person?

I always thought that I'm a night person.Though I can still wake up in the mornings and I can stay up late. My husband used to tell me there is no such thing as night person or morning person. Humans and animals are supposed to wake up early and sleep when the sun goes down. Just go to sleep when the time comes and not wait till you feel you are sleepy, definitely you can wake up early. There is logic in what he said, but he is the disciplined morning person. Easy for him to say eh? In Malaysia, before we had our daughter, he used to wake up by sunrise and do his kung fu training. How scary disciplined is that? LOL Seems like Bonnie is taking up after him. Real early riser.

Day is getting longer

The picture just taken a few minutes ago from my kitchen window. It's 7.26pm now and it is still bright. Yes, the days are becoming longer. My daughter wouldn't sleep till it gets real dark. So you know what that means. She'd be up till 9 to 10 pm. One thing I'm amazed is that, despite her sleeping late, she would get up as early as 6 am. Well, I know some nephews and nieces of mine would wake up as late as they got to sleep.

Only one thing I like about winter is the long nights. LOL

Children talk about love.

My daughter has started talking more and more. Sometimes funny, sometimes annoying too. Especially whenever I tell her to do something, she would say,"Shhh, csupbe" or shhh, shut your mouth. That's the one that really irritates me. LOL But at times, I cannot help but feel amazed at how well she can talk. Even her father would be surprised at how clear the full entire phrase she uttered.

Below is something I found from a website. How children between 4-8 describes the word "love". Some of them, are very touching. I would like to ask Bonnie what she thinks of the word "love". Not now, but when she's 4 at least. :)

The age that I would like to go back to.

If I had the chance to turn back time, I'd go back to the time when I first went to the University. 19 going to 20. Year 2000. University days were the best times of my life I guess. Since I get to stay away from my family, my only concern was to study and no family matters to interfere with my happiness. :) Another thing is also, when you are far, people tend to appreciate you more. :D

That's when I get to meet new friends. But the nicest thing is the newly found freedom. LOL You get to be out late as much as you want with your friends.
