Cheap electronics.

I just bought 2 small electronic items through ebay. A pair of headphones and a microsd card reader. Both only for less than $2. From China. (What electronic items, be it branded or not, are not from China??) Postage was free of charge. I was thinking about how do these people can actually make money? Maybe they bought those stuffs for really cheap. But then how do the manufacturers make money then?

The headphones, if converted to Hungarian forint, only costs about 200 ft. When to buy something like that here would cost at least 2000 ft. Maybe the quality is terrible? I just want to use it once in a while. I had a pair of Sony headphones , a couple of Panasonic ones, and also a cheap brandless one. They all somewhat work the same and lasted about the same time. I bought an SD card reader for like $0.50 and it's still working fine after months of using it.

There are plenty of items sold on ebay that are so cheap and the postage are free - wholesale clothes, 925 silver jewelries, watches and electronic goods. I really wonder how people can find such great deals and resell it back.

Another website where you can find dirt cheap items is dealextreme.com. Free shipping worldwide, and they have thousands of happy customers all over the world.

I bought a couple of mp4 players from eBay. I couldn't get the videos to play on them though.
