Rather queer for a title of a post eh? They don't relate to each other but I'll be writing about them all in this post. From what happened today, yesterday and day before.
True to it's name, Sunday, today has been a nice sunny day. The mil (mom-in-law) called us to go for a stroll at the Város liget . A city park. Bonnie's cousins Emma and zsigmund (zsigi) is staying with mil for a few days. So they were with us. I'm not so much into picture taking. Hard to remember bringing the camera along. But today fortunately I took the camera along with us.
Vajdahunyad Castle. Built in 1896. Then re-built in 1908. They made an Agricultural museum in it. Haven't checked out the museum yet.

City Park Pool. No ordinary pool it's a thermal pool. It's warm even in winter. We came here last spring and saw some new ducklings. I guess the adult ducks and drakes that we saw today might be last year's ducklings.

Ice skating. We thought of trying it next winter. One of our bad habits. Procrastinating. Putting things off for some other time. Oh well.

Bonnie and grandma.

Emma and Zsigmund. They are my husband's brother's kids. He has 4 children. First is Fülöp (phillip) 7, Emma 6, Zsiggy (zsigmund)4, and Noushy(eliz) 11 months old. Only these two are here.
All's well that ends well.
Now about the pickles or sáványuság in Hungarian. Well, all I wanted to say is that, Hungarians sure do love their pickles! And I'm starting to love them too. My husband seems to like them a lot too but only thing was, while back in Malaysia, he didn't like to eat the malaysian pickles. We call it 'jeruk'. To me they seem to taste a lot similar but maybe the malaysian ones are a little bit too acidic and sweet. In other words more artificials. Anyways, yesterday we did our pickle shopping. LOL

Lining up for our pickles.

Our turn came. :)

Dill pickles and cabbage pickles.

Or packeted ones.

So while we waited for the lady to pack our pickles I took other pictures. Typical Hungarian market. Nothing special I guess, just like any other market.

Feast for the eyes while waiting for the pickles to be ready. Flower shop right across the pickle stall.

Paid for the pickles and time to go. (sorry for the quality of the pics. I took them with my phone camera)
Now for the monoxide poisoning news. It was quite shocking for us to know that my brother in law, emma's dad, with his wife and 2 other kids are in the hospital right now. They had carbon monoxide poisoning. It happened Friday night. I don't really know the details but he told that he was in the bathroom and when he came out he didn't feel good. Then he saw that his wife lying on the floor, fainted. Fülöp, his 7 year old son also fainted. I don't know about Noushy 11 months. Said that she was sleeping that time. He managed to call the ambulance. If he fainted too.... Then it would be a family tragedy. Read here to know more about this
'Silent Killer'. :( They were so close to death. Emma and Zsiggi could have ended up as orphans here. :( Glad that didn't happen. But to think that human lives are so fragile. You are here today for your kids you might not be here tomorrow for them. Really made me sad to think of it. Anyway, good news is they might be able to go home tomorrow but will be under observation for symptoms.
