I have a fairly good memory. But when it comes to taking medicines or vitamins regularly, my memory usually fails me. I never finished any prescription medicines. Not that I didn't want to take, but I would miss a day, then take the next then missed 2 days and in the end I stop. Just fortunate that it is not life threatening if I don't take my medications at all. Same thing goes with vitamins too.
But for those whose lives depend on medication pills, they would need something to remind them to take their medication on time. Yes, you can set your wrist watch alarm, but there is another way. Get yourselves a pill case that comes with an alarm. Something like the one below. This one cost about $15 at Amazon.com.
There are even pill cases for birth control pills that come in beautiful designs. These too comes with an alarm. From pillpak.
I wonder whether there are any pill cases made specially for weight loss pills? Won't be surprised if someone will come up with something. :)

Those are very cool! Sometimes when you have a daily routine, it becomes so second nature that you forget if you did it or not.

This is a great idea and one I might try. I only take one pill a day but I still often forget.
