Where do babies come from?

There will be a point in the career of being children, they would be curious of everything and anything. There would be endless questions about how, why and where things come from. The question about where babies come from may be one of them.

Some parents may have expected it an prepared themselves with an answer that would satisfy the curious child. But as for the rest who haven't figured out how to tell your kids the answer, you may want them to watch this cartoon. One of the series of the famous "Little Mole" or "Kisvakond" in Hungarian. It may help the parents answer the question for a bit though, but it didn't help answer how they got there. :) But then most probably the kids may be satisfied for a while after watching the video. That would buy the parents some time 'if' the next hard question comes. :)

Building my craft inventory.

I just got bitten by the crafty bug and I've been doing one sort of craft work or another within the past one month. I started of with a couple of stuffed animals for Bonnie, and now started on a crochet project. I'm a beginner so the work isn't 'that' neat.

The above is my current work-in-progress crochet.

When I look at all the projects that I would like to do, I see that there are so many craft material and tools that I need to get.I still have to build up my craft material inventory.Slowly...

Now I begin to understand how what or how my husband felt when he started to buy tools and hardwares - drills, chain saw, all sizes of screws & nails, industrial handles, battery operated screw driver and etc. It's all because all the things he may need for his repair work or project may be at hand. It sucks when you need to do something and you don't have the things needed to complete it.

I need to buy more yarn for my current project and the next project that I already have in mind. Just ordered a few meters of tulle fabric of various colour too... Thats for a tutu I plan to make for Bonnie to wear for her birthday next month. :)

The history of things.

I love watching Discovery channel's "How do they do it?". The program is solely dedicated to how products that we use every day are made, from pencils, to shoes and many more. It is interesting to know how them manufacturers make the items.

Other than that I also like to read about how things started. Or the history of things. I just found a website that tells readers about the history of things that we use nearly every day of our lives. The website - thehistoryof.net. There you can find out about how computer graphics came about, history of audio books, water filters and many more.

So if you love knowledge and you like to know how things started and when, you may like to check out the site.

Girly girl.

Yesterday evening, while we were waiting in line at a pharmacy, our daughter, Bonnie pointed at somethings and asked us to buy one of the things she was pointing at. They were lip balms. She said she wanted lipstick like mommy.

She is only going to turn 4 this December but she wants grown up stuffs (I know, like most kids). We had to promise that we'd get her a child lipgloss later so that she wouldn't make a scene in the pharmacy ( parents sometimes have no choice other than to promise/bribe their kids to avoid embarrassment).

I don't blame Bonnie, for I too was a little girl once -wanting to try out my mom's make up and her high heel shoes. Just like what I used to do as a child with my mom, Bonnie would be standing next to me when I put on my eyeliner, my mascara, my lipstick or lipgloss. Everytime asking me to put on her as well. :)

Anyhow, here I am googling about lipgloss for 4 year olds. Also looking at cute looking compact mirrors for her. I know now that perhaps it wouldn't be too long now when I have to look for her the best acne treatment. Kids do grow up fast.

Sew it straight.

I just got an early Christmas present. A sewing machine. Hyundai sewing machine. I think it is their first sewing machine because I could not find anything about it on the internet.

For a total newbie sewer like me, I think this would be good enough for now. Need to learn how to sew straight and neatly. As my husband said, if I could hem the legs of at least 15 trousers, the machine would be worth the buy.

Though at first I thought it would be nice to get a Nintendo wii bundles pack as a Christmas gift, but since I am into learning how to sew clothes now, I am happy for my present this year.

Just tried it out yesterday evening. Need to check whether everything is fine just in case we need to send it back to the store. Everything seemed fine so it went into the box again to be wrapped up for Christmas. :P
